Lushness is a Metalheadz signature, but this album is so atmospheric, it (or at least its first 3/4) could have been a Good Looking release in the late '90s/early '00s. It reminds me of artists like KMC, Rantoul, and Future Engineers who brought programmed drums and a sleeker, techier vibe to atmospheric dnb. The last 1/4 of this album is slightly darker and reminds me of classic neurofunk; it could have been a Subtitles release in the early '00s.

It's great to discover an artist that whilst not new to the DnB music scene is new to me. And now it feels like I'm going to have to buy his entire back catalogue. This is stripped down tech DnB that is so well thought out. 4 incredible tracks that are sonic magic. Love it. And plus if you buy the vinyl as I did you get a piece of Epods artwork on the cover.....come on it don't get better than that. underflux
